As your friend said, it is bittersweet to know that you’re at the end of your adventure. It’s such an amazing accomplishment, but we’ll miss your journal entries. The photo of the sunset was lovely, and the alligators are interesting but a bit scary. Best wishes for smooth canoeing the rest of your journey!
Hi JC. I didn’t start following your blog until just after crossing your path (while I was riding my bike, remember ) during your brief respite in Clarksdale a couple weeks ago. But I just want to tell you how much I am enjoying it and I will be checking out all of your entries that I missed. What you have done is a tremendous accomplishment. If I ever do an extended trip on the Mississippi, I will be much more informed about the realities of such an undertaking. And if I never do, Reading about your adventure is the next best thing, and considerably less tiring! Keep on keeping on!
No more hat dips in the water any longer I’m guessing, with gaters and chemical plants discharges. Enjoy your remaining paddling days!! Great photos too, as always.
what the heck--how can you sleep if you have aligators all around?! Scary. So many tales you will have to tell... if you survive the aligators!
Yikes! Stay safe!
